Boardmasters Key Info

So you’re going to Boardmasters, you’re packing all ready for the four day weekend and you're thinking about what you should and shouldn’t take. Well don’t worry we’re here to tell you all the prohibited items for Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach. 

Watergate Bay

If you’re camping and going to see the performers, this is where you’ll be. There’s prohibited items and alcohol restrictions - not too much to worry about, but good to know. 

Prohibited Items: 

Glass bottles 

No food can be brought to the main music arena 

Illegal substances

Psychoactive substances 

Nitrous oxide and legal highs 

Spray paint aerosols 

Straight spirits (alcohol) 

Anything that could be reasonably considered for use as a weapon

Candles

Sky lanterns 

Portable/disposable barbeques/gas/paraffin lamps or any fire/gas related 

cooking equipment 

Portable laser equipment 

Pointer pens 

Drones 

Quadcopters 

Remote controlled fling devices 

Megaphones 

Air horns 

Compressed air

Fireworks 

Flares 

Smoke bombs 

Smoke machines 

Larger sound systems 

Animals with the exception of guide dogs 

Generators apart from those permanently built into campervans 

Gas canisters/cylinders apart from those fitted into campervans 

Unofficial tabards/hi-vis jackets 

Professional camera, video recording equipment 

and campfires.

Alcohol Restrictions:

No glass aloud

Alcohol brought to the festival must comply with the event regulations which are: Weekend campers aged 18 and over can bring in limited amounts and types of alcohol.

Quantity per person: 24 cans of beer/lager and/or cider and/or alcopops or 2 bottles of wine (decanted out of glass)

No straight spirits allowed

All drinks must be unopened and no glass

Alcohol is on sale at the event but you must be 18 or over to purchase. Bring your ID!

Alcohol will only be permitted on first entry to the festival campsite

Alcohol cannot be brought into the festival arena, though it will be on sale there

Day ticket holders are not allowed to bring in any alcoholic drinks.
